GE Services personnel served as the Owner's Engineer for the Frodsham Windfarm project, ensuring that the construction of the windfarm substations, associated cabling, and switchgear installation met all recognised industry and Distribution Network Operator (DNO) standards. Key responsibilities included:
- Stakeholder Coordination: Attended meetings with the Client, Civils Contractor, Balance of Plant (BoP) Contractor, Independent Connection Provider (ICP) Contractor, and DNO representatives to ensure seamless collaboration and project alignment.
- DNO Liaison: Worked closely with DNO representatives to schedule on-site activities in a manner that justified and facilitated the grid connection.
- Final Acceptance Inspections: Conducted final acceptance walk-downs for 13 turbines, ensuring both mechanical and electrical compliance with project specifications and standards.
