33kV Reinforcement Scheme - Winchester

GE Services personnel have previously Project Managed the delivery of the 33kV reinforcement scheme in Winchester, overseeing the entire process from design approval through to energisation and completion. Key responsibilities included:
  • Coordination with Local Authorities: Liaised with Local Highways Authorities to manage the scheme route, secure necessary permits, and implement traffic management, diversions, and road closures.
  • Community Engagement: Engaged with local residents to inform them about the project, explaining the reasons for the scheme and how the works would be carried out.
  • Site Safety Management: Ensured that a safe site setup was maintained throughout the construction phase, prioritising the safety of all personnel and the public.
  • Client Communication: Maintained continuous communication with the client, providing regular progress updates and identifying value engineering solutions where possible to enhance project efficiency.
  • Cable Route Testing: Managed the testing of the cable route following installation, ensuring all standards were met before handing over to the client for energisation.
  • Energisation Support: Supported the client during the energisation and commissioning phase, ensuring a smooth transition to full operational status.
